4. PURPOSE OF THE SITE

eco3min.fr is an information, analysis and educational service dedicated to macroeconomics, financial markets, monetary policy and investment-related topics. The content published (articles, studies, datasets, charts, Q&A pages, tools) is strictly informational, educational and journalistic in nature.

The site publishes macro-financial data series drawn from public and institutional sources (notably Federal Reserve Economic Data, the European Central Bank and other public bodies), for illustrative and analytical purposes.

5. NO INVESTMENT ADVICE

The content published on eco3min.fr is general and impersonal in nature. It does not under any circumstances constitute:

• investment advice within the meaning of Articles L. 321-1 and L. 541-1 of the French Monetary and Financial Code;
• a personalised recommendation or wealth-management advice tailored to an individual situation;
• banking or financial canvassing within the meaning of Article L. 341-1 of the French Monetary and Financial Code;
• an investment recommendation within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 on market abuse;

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All elements making up the eco3min.fr website — text, articles, studies, analyses, charts, illustrations, photographs, infographics, original datasets, structure, graphic design, code and visual identity — are protected under the French Intellectual Property Code and, where applicable, under the law governing databases (Articles L. 341-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code).

Any reproduction, representation, modification, adaptation, translation, extraction or re-use, in whole or in part, by any process and on any medium whatsoever, without the prior written authorisation of the publisher, is prohibited and constitutes infringement, save within the limits strictly permitted by law (in particular the right of short quotation, provided that the source eco3min.fr is clearly indicated together with a link to the relevant page).

The underlying public data of the published series remain the property of their respective producers (Federal Reserve / FRED, European Central Bank, etc.) and remain subject to their own terms of use. eco3min.fr claims no rights over this raw data.

8. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

8.1 Data collected

• data you provide voluntarily (e-mail address when subscribing to the newsletter, the content of your messages);
• browsing and technical data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, audience-measurement and session-analysis data) collected via third-party tools.

8.2 Purposes and legal bases

• newsletter management (sending bulletins) — basis: your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), collected via double opt-in through MailPoet;
• audience measurement and analysis of site usage (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity) — basis: your consent;
• responding to your requests via the contact form or e-mail address — basis: your consent / the publisher’s legitimate interest;
• security and proper functioning of the site — basis: the publisher’s legitimate interest.

8.3 Recipients and processors

Your data is processed by the publisher and its technical processors, in particular the host (OVH, France), the newsletter tool (MailPoet) and the audience-measurement tools (Google — Google Analytics 4; Microsoft — Clarity). The use of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may involve a transfer of data to the United States; such transfers are governed by the mechanisms provided for under the GDPR (standard contractual clauses and/or adherence to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).

8.4 Retention periods

• newsletter data: until you withdraw your consent (an unsubscribe link is included in every mailing);
• contact data: for the time necessary to handle the request, then archived in accordance with applicable legal time limits;
• audience-measurement data: in accordance with the recommendations of the French data protection authority (CNIL) (tracker lifespan limited to 13 months, measurement data retained for a maximum of 25 months).

8.5 Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to set directives regarding the fate of your data after your death. You may exercise these rights at any time by writing to [email protected].

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): www.cnil.fr.

9. COOKIES AND TRACKERS

The site uses cookies and trackers, in particular:

• cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the site (exempt from consent);
• audience-measurement and session-analysis cookies (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity), subject to your prior consent;
• cookies relating to newsletter management (MailPoet).

Microsoft Clarity may record information relating to your browsing (movements, clicks, scrolling) for the purpose of analysing the user experience. Google Analytics 4 measures the site’s audience.

Trackers subject to consent are only placed and activated after you accept them via the cookie-management banner. You may at any time accept, refuse or withdraw your consent, and configure your browser to block cookies. Refusing audience-measurement cookies does not affect access to the site’s content.
